I grew up in the small town of Brillion, Wisconsin. And like many small towns, we played backyard games outside with our neighborhood friends. I wanted my children to understand the pure joy and freedom of playing these timeless games as they grew up, so I wrote the Project Play series.

As a writer, I focus on positive stories. Sharing these traditional games allows me to inspire the next generation of "backyard play." The stories help get children back outside, away from technology and help teach them the rules of each game.
